Wildfire, smoke and ash
The Pine Gulch Fire north of Grand Junction was, when it burned in 2020, the largest wildfire in Colorado history. The Grizzly Creek Fire in Glenwood Canyon closed Interstate 70 the same year. Most Western Slope properties touched by those fires never saw a flame — smoke and ash did the damage. Those claims are underpaid by habit: contents cleaning, textiles, ductwork, insulation and sealing all belong in the file, not just a wipedown.
